Fading away

i felt you there beside me in my time of need
i felt your hand it's warmth,
it kept me here.
you saved my life
you took away the pain
you took away the drugs,
you dried my tears

so i stay here.
never wanting the minute to pass
but all good things pass
sunrises, and sunsets,
those in between times
that is what this minute is like.

so calm so peaceful.
i want to stay here
here holding your hand
but time does not stop

so on i go,
writing my story
knowing that the divine
will place me where i need to be
i have no worries
i have no doubt.

i just wonder if time will be as kind to you
as you have been to me.
